That applies to everything on this site: which listings you are shown, what the figures beside them say, and how an enquiry is handled after you make one.

What this means for a property bought here

If you buy a rental property, the same law applies to you as a landlord. It governs how you advertise it, who you show it to, which applications you accept, what terms you offer and how you treat a tenant once they are in. A property bought as an investment is still somebody's home.

We publish nothing on this site that describes the people in a neighborhood, and we do not rank or filter properties by anything that could stand in for a protected characteristic.

If something here is wrong

If anything on this site looks like it discriminates, or if you believe you have been treated unfairly by us, tell us and we will look into it.

You can also complain directly to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which enforces the Fair Housing Act, or to your state or local fair housing agency. Complaining to us is not a condition of complaining to them, and you do not have to do one before the other.
